If cost-effectiveness is not a consideration, binoculars with a ridge structure are definitely the best choice for bird watching. It is small in size and light in weight. Excellent field of view and large magnification. Apart from the high price, there are no other drawbacks.
Monocular telescopes are also small in size and weight. And the price is low. However, the three-dimensional effect of its picture is inferior to that of binoculars with a ridge structure. So if we consider cost-effectiveness and portability, monocular telescopes are our second choice.
